IP Marketplace is an online portal where buyers and sellers of IP rights can contact each other.

On IP Marketplace you can put your patents, patent applications, utility models, design and trademarks up for sale or out-licensing. You can also use IP Marketplace to search for IP rights to buy or license in.

The website is managed by the Danish Patent and Trademark Office. It is free of charge for both buyers and sellers.

IP Marketplace facilitates the initial contact between buyers and sellers of IP rights. Negotiations take place offline, just as the trade is not concluded on IP Marketplace. The Danish Patent and Trademark Office does not offer any legal advice in regards to the deal. If you need specific advice, you should contact an IPR adviser. The European IPR Helpdesk’s guide on "10 steps to find a suitable IP professional" can be of help in such a case.

Please read the terms and conditions for using IP Marketplace before you create a listing or contact a seller.

Furthermore, the European IPR Helpdesk has published a practical guide on IP Commercialisation, where different IP commercialisation routes are introduced together with a number of highly useful reference materials and tools. The guide can be downloaded here.
